When it first opened the fiftith floor was an exclusive alumni club of the U.M. and the Orion room restuarant was open to the public. I was one of the bartenders/bar manager of the orion bar open to the public. The clientel was pretty high end. All tuxedo service. There was quite a history between underground money and police work going on all the time.
